�Ӱ���̳ College senior Marley Berano ’25 said, “I was looking for a place to grow [and] challenge myself but also to have a social life or work on the side while not losing my sport at the same time.”

Cindie Huerta-Velazquez ’25 connects food and community at �Ӱ���̳: “We all have different friend groups, but once a week we come together to talk about anything and everything. We intentionally make that time and effort to be together.”

�Ӱ���̳ College senior Aby Soumare ’25 said, “I’ve found that no matter what, everyone working on this campus wants you to succeed.”

Senior Cynthia Obianuju Akanaga ’25 said, “�Ӱ���̳ changed my life. I’ve always been afraid of making the wrong choice, but being here helped me put that fear into a positive light.”

�Ӱ���̳ College student Alexandra Mihailopol ’26 has been selected by Middlebury College as a recipient of a Projects for Peace grant. She will offer financial literacy education to women in rural Romania via her EmpowHER project.

�Ӱ���̳ senior Qiao Se Ong ’25 is among the 2025 cohort for Projects for Peace. Her project, based in Colombia, aims to address the impact of dam construction on local communities through creative workshops and collaborations with local artists.

�Ӱ���̳ College student Oluwafadeyemi Testimony Akinkuolie-Ibidapo ’27 went from volunteering at last year’s Trailblazers of Color Leadership Conference to becoming one of this year’s organizers.

�Ӱ���̳ College springie Callie Lantz ’27 is a committed psychology major. Since coming to MHC, she’s been able to broaden her horizons and explore the problem-solving thrills of calculus and computer science.

Charlie Watts ’25 is �Ӱ���̳ College’s poet-contestant for this year’s Glascock Poetry Competition and writes about what it’s like to compete with support from a community of other writers and poets.
