Dr. Quentin Young is the 11th President of the ²ÝÁñÉçÇø. With a background in finance, administration, and strategic leadership, Dr. Young has significant experience fostering institutional growth and collaborating with teams across campus to advance university initiatives such as the ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Commitment and One Price Promise.
Dr. Young joined the ²ÝÁñÉçÇø family in 2016 and previously served as the university’s Executive Vice President for Finance and Chief Financial Officer. In those roles, he oversaw all university budget, finance, and accounting operations, the management of investments and endowment funds, and various administrative operations pertaining to university finances. Prior to UC, Dr. Young worked in banking, accounting, and real estate with the Forcht Group of Kentucky.
Dr. Young holds a Ph.D. in Information Technology, an M.S. in Information Systems Security, an M.B.A. with an Accounting emphasis, and a B.S. in Accounting – all from ²ÝÁñÉçÇø.
Dr. Young was previously named the Young Professional Civic Leader of the Year and named Banking Center Manager of the Year during his time at Forcht Bank. Most recently, Dr. Young serves as the Board President for the Scholastic Archery Association Corporation (S3DA), providing competition opportunities and conservation education to student-aged archers nationwide. He also maintains an active license as a CPA in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Community involvement includes the past President of the Corbin Rotary Club and various leadership roles in church and community activities. He and his wife, Samantha, are active members of Robinson Creek Missionary Baptist Church. They have three children who are the light of their lives.
